About Aidfolio

In one sentence

Aidfolio makes free, private web tools that help local and national NGOs prepare for donor and UN partner assessments, work out a fair overhead, and plan risk sharing. Nothing users type is uploaded.

In one paragraph

Aidfolio (aidfolio.org) is a free, open-source toolkit for local and national humanitarian and development organisations. Its readiness check helps them prepare for partner capacity and due-diligence assessments such as UN HACT micro-assessments, the UN Implementing Partner PSEA assessment and the Charter for Change due-diligence passport. Its fair cost calculator shows an organisation’s true overhead rate and produces a brief to negotiate a fair overhead, and its risk-sharing plan prepares a dialogue with donors using the Risk Sharing Framework. The tools run entirely in the browser, with no account, and nothing users type is uploaded. Aidfolio is built and run independently by Richard Prouse in New Zealand, is free for every local organisation, and publishes every dollar in and out in a monthly ledger.
